Jorge Britto
Head Instructor & Founder
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Jorge Britto began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey as a teenager. From the beginning, his path in Jiu-Jitsu was shaped not only by training but by a deep respect for discipline, structure and the personal growth that comes through consistent practice.
Jorge holds a university degree in Physical Education, which strongly influences his teaching approach. His classes emphasize safety, proper movement and long-term development, making Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu accessible to beginners while still providing depth and progression for experienced students.
In 2008, Jorge moved to Canada and began teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Toronto, contributing to the growth of the local community through structured instruction and a strong focus on fundamentals. In 2016, he co-founded the Jiu-Jitsu For Life Team, an association that now includes more than 30 affiliated academies across Canada, Brazil, the USA and Europe.
Today, Jorge is known for building ego-free environments rooted in Attitude, Discipline, Family, Honour and Respect. His mission is to help students of all ages develop confidence, resilience, and character through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, both on and off the mats.
